Original Designs?

Found this while randomly wandering around YouTube. I remember seeing this before for some reason. Were these the original designs and everything for //G.U.? I can't seem to remember ^^;; If it is, then wow it has changed a lot. I kind of like Shino's cloak thingy that she has here though :\

Yup, they were.
Does that has something to do with Bandai merging with Namco?? Or its just the beta release that every game has?

Yep, that prototype trailer was made in 2003. It's great seeing how far G.U. has gone from then.

Wow, I just noticed...

In that early trailer, the statue of Aura is still in the cathedral... Think about how much that changes things...

Good thing they improved from the prototype, it would suck seeing Ovan with a rectangular lock. But Azure Kite's Data Drain was better with the X look.

Meh, the prototype DD looks like they stuck boxes around his arm and colored them red. Dull, yet pretty cool looking.

,but the Skeith in the prototype trailer Skeith looked bloody with red lines on his stone body(i've seen skeiths origanal form on youtube X_X)

screw the red line thing i said, the corpse-like look made him awsome and it looked like he was putting meat on his stones XD

I like of there orginal designs more, Ovan looked like a priest. I do wish they kept the AK blade creeking.

Heh...yeah. I remember watching some parts of it long ago (back when I had dial-up x_x). Some of the original designs were better though if you ask me... but Haseo was a nice change ^^

hmmmm, interesting. Most of the designs are drastically different than they are now (thank god). Did anyone besides me catch the text script at 4:16? It read: "Aida: Anti Intrusion Device for Aura" Interesting.

Wow, on another note: the fight between Haseo and the PKs from this opening seemed a lot more realistic than the one put in the game. Probably changed it to make him appear more "god-modey" I guess.

This has fuelled my need to work on my fanfiction again, to the desk!!!

The changes look really nice. I really like the cel shade look and the new character designs.
