Air Gear

Post by Kay »

dunno if there was a topic on this before, i tried searching but since the comp im accessing from atm is a bit screwy it cuts some items when searching sometimes.

Any way, for those of you who don't know about Air Gear. It's an anime about suped out rollerblades and those who use them in gang war type things. its based off the manga which shares its name and i heard that it made the translation from manga to anime rather well. Its full of comedy, action, and fanservice. The first season has already aired in japan and its all over youtube. You may also notice that it resembles Jet Set Radio. dunno if it was ment to or not but alot of people have noticed it  Anyway, add your thoughts, opinions, talk about your favorite parts or characters, how far you think we are from being able to mod out rollerblades like that... anything about air gear you feel like talking about (aslong as it follows the rules of these forums) is fine to talk about here!

The anime didn't start off exactly the same as the manga, seemed to be alittle further in the first episode and so missed apart.Have only read vol.1 and trying to find 2 although there are several chapters out already on the web.

Great series so far (anime),enjoyed the ending considering its just leaving things wide open for the second season to arise.

I wasn't too sure but I knew Oh! Great created Tenjho/Tenjou Tenge but there was afew familiar characters from another series.I noticed some Battle Vixens/Ikki Tousen characters (Agito/Akito and the guy that always mentions the "basics" except a female).

I liked Chain (opening) and how the story progressed, hopefully the second season is just round the corner.

my boyfriend and i just picked up these mangas in the past few months. we were thinking about getting the anime. would anyone strongly recommend getting it or should we just stick to the manga? btw, i think it would be awesome to actually be able to fly with blades like these. i really like the whole premise and setup with the different gangs.

Anime a complete comedy... The first few epsiodes really drag but when you get past them the anime gets really good. Reminds me the same as Naruto/DBZ, with lots of DBZ type power ups.

This came out a full year before the manga hit selves over here...so the dub isnt to blame...Oh,and about the dub,the US and Jap home edition has an edition that allows you to turn off those pesky crows...for all you Ecchi lovers out there...go buy it and help AIr Gear get a seconded Season...
