I popped in my Terminal Disc just now real quick and it worked, although I didn't get any audio.

so must things be linar? They also unlock at right times so it isn't spoilers which I like. It is tempting to try but i must force myself to unlock them im suppose to.

No, things don't have to be linear, but the Terminal Disc is already arranged in chronological order.

I'm gonna tell you that, at worse, it spoils two things.

Thing 1:  Ovan is trying to restart what Project G.U. started, though his intentions remain unclear

Thing 2:  Pai is the little sister of the guy who made this journal

Other than that, if you've played the first four games, seen Roots, and even a dash of Dusk, you're not getting spoiled at all with all these. If anything, it just fills in gaps, and makes some things make a bit more sense. I find it helpful, personally...

I have been told that the mods frown upon YouTube links around here. I will merely say that it is only a matter of time before these hit YouTube. I would suggest you rev up your search engines for "dotHack Terminal Disc" within the next 48 hours.

I will leave it at that, I'm sure something is bound the crop up.. ;)

Yeah we don't tolerate intellectual property linking of any kind-- although we're lenient on some stuff like trailers and next episode previews for example. But when linking cutscenes it's technically illegal because you're watching reproduced material without the copyrighter's consent. So watching all of the terminal disc on YouTube = evil and unethical. 8) So be careful, posts might be edited. Promote .hack//G.U. in a positive and fair use (legal) way.

My random thought would be:
"Live with it."

There is a program called PSS player. It can play them with audio.
