I wonder if that story Ovan told Pyhllo was true and it was an accident to data drain or do whatever to Shino. Another idea what if Shino is locked behind the SIGN in the cathedral lol! Also if anyone can elaborate on what happened to Phyllo I mean really in depth that would be nice.

25 was so confusing!! So was Ovan the one that zapped Shino?!?!? AND WHAT WAS THE DEAL WITH THE BLACK AND WHITE PART WITH THE CONVO?!?!? >+( Phyllo died? WHAT?? O_O

Basically Roots ended with nearly all of it's cast either being banned, deleted, Data Drained, or just plain quit the game. Phyllo did die, cancer I believe was the cause. The ending was a flash back to all the old episodes, showing Roots is nothing but a huge ad for GU. Ovan 'zapping' Shino remains to be seen, the scenes of the event are different. Tri-Edge was nowhere to be found and it sounded like Ovan was the one who got attacked.

They were hsing his char, most likely went through his friends list and mostly saw Touta on there.

Touta has bothered him the most XD

Just finished Ep 25. Did Ovan really PK Shino and sent her into a coma to force Haseo to become stronger? I can't imagine him doing something like that and if he did, he must be real salty that Tri-Edge DD'ed him back to Level 1

Also, does this mean that Haseo (in real life) is now trapped in The World like Tsukasa was? When he logged back in it was in first person view at first and he was all shocked.

And finally, what was with that shot of Tri-Edge and the two chars beside him that resembled Balmung and Orca?

Haseo isn't trapped in the World. First-person view is available to all players. Ovan's PKing Shino was an accident. The Azure Knights are just kind've posing like badasses.

I dunno if Ovan has cancer, but the AIDA infection could be really bad and killing him IRL.

An accident caused by AIDA inside his sealed arm???

No. Tsukasa can´t log out and she (Tsukasa´s character in real life) is in coma. They aren´t Haseo´s scenario.

We don't know through the context of Phyllo's talk with Ovan and Touta what he died of. The end of Roots coincides with .hack//G.U. Vol. 2 (last two episodes from what I hear specifically), so there are going to be questions left unanswered unless you want to spoil yourself.

Most likey Ovan is just suffering form the AIDA as it is kind of like a cancer in a way. He probably just meant that.

Well I need to light the right type of fire to make the right type of smoke, even though I may spoil myself, I've seen most of this kinda of stuff in every anime (Ovan being one of the major bad guys wasnt a suprise but its gonna be who is controlling the AIDAs).

Yep completely understand what your saying from the talk with Ovan and Phyllo in episode 25.

"Talking with you is hard" says phyllo "you must understand the words and the meaning behind them"

Which could exactly refer to that

I can think of two possibilities for that. First is that his data was somehow preserved. This seems unlikely. More likely is that he simply recreated his old character's appearance as closely as possible when he started playing R:2.
