I don't see what the big deal is on the spelling as long as it is prenounced just as the mathematical constant (circumference of a circle) which written as pi but sounds like pai or pie.

I really don't care what her name looks like in the game. They'll still say it the same. It doesn't really matter. And haseoskeith....Orca means killer whale in like...every language. Orca=killer whale. Just thought I'd point that out. o_o

I know: Let´s call her. Hey Ms. 3,1415....

the important thing is not how to read her name, the real thing is how to say her name. In my place there are too many weird names..... (like food or country names, or any other names mispelled, etc.)

To be more precise this is pi http://www.exploratorium.edu/pi/Pi10-6.html :P
but back on topic, I think Pi could be a suitable name for her but it's just that I have grown so attached to Pai.

I can see Pai becoming Pi. Japanese people are more comfortable with sexual references in games and other such media. Americans are way more uptight about that sort of thing. Parents who may happen to hold some interest in finding out what the names mean would get offended and start some really huge unnecessary thing.

And .hack has this thing with names referring to topics that stand at a more intellectual level? Maybe that's not the right way to word it but as long as the name is still pronounced the same. In the long run, some idiot is going to make a pee joke if her name IS Pi, and things are just going to get hectic. Like some online parody on YouTube or something. ¬¬

you reminded me of that 'yata-yata' video. ^^ Pi is just something were going to have to get used to. Pai as in Pie or Pi as in Wii. people should be more mature about things. it is truely regretful that some adults and young people have so much in common reguarding thier maturity; they're all immature when it comes to this stuff. yeah haha its funny the first time you hear a joke or two and thats okay. it is the people who continuously are not able to accept something for what it is or a person for who they are.

Not really. It was mentioned earlier in this topic that Pi can also be pronounced as 'Pee' like in Pikachu. The question is, are they going to change her name? And if so, to what? Finally, how is it going to be pronounced? Hell, are any other characters going to get a different name? Why can't the game just come out. /cry

Innis to Inis doesnt make much since to me.

For 1 it is already writin in what looks like blood "Innis". So why is it changed to Inis unless the AIDA tried to over take Atoli.

The AIDA can't spell, DUH! Hasn't it occured to you they skipped grammar lessons in class to go smoke an e-blunt or something? Makes a lot of sense in MY mind. But then again, so does a lot of other things.

I think he meant the name change from Inis to Innis. Damn, don't remember where I read it. I think AuraTwilight mentioned it in another topic. That the Japanese don't have double letters in their words like us English-speaking folks. But all in all, we really shouldn't worry about the name change. Whatever their names turn out to be, we as fans should accept it and move on with our lives. Play the games, rejoice, and just move on...

Don't worry about the spelling of the phases. They'll use the the ones from the original games.

Pi makes sense though, a lot more than Pai. I was actually expecting it to change. What doesn't make sense is Huelle Glanz. From what I hear that's what they're calling the Cathedral. It means "that which hides the glory" in German, so it's close in meaning to Grima Ray or whatever, but it's a totally different name from the original. Wtf? You can't just rename it because it's hard to figure out how to spell the original name... Gah! I'm fine with like all of the changes besides this... Well also "Lumina Cloth", so I'm just praying that one stie was on crack or something...

I've not heard of Huelle Glanz, but I have seen Lumina Cloth...

It seems strange that they'd translate 'kurosu' into Cloth rather than Cross, or even Close, but I guess it does make some sense. Huelle Glanz, however, makes no sense.

And I always thought the Cathedral was called Grima Lowe... ¬_¬
