I can say no right now. There's no way CC Corp can make anything Artificially Intelligent. Plus they're anomalies, so they kinda created themselves.
Plus CC Corp would never release something that could hurt players, much less develop it. They're greedy, not sinister. And obviously, CC Corp can't do anything to stop them or they would've done so by now.

They wouldnt? They were willing to shut down servers in the 4 part series and leave the comatose victims...well theyd be screwed.AuraTwilight wrote:I can say no right now. There's no way CC Corp can make anything Artificially Intelligent. Plus they're anomalies, so they kinda created themselves.

One of the richest men in the world created a simple concept that you can do multiple things. We all know its windows. Its also made to be purposely flawed so it had to be fixed. Was that sinister? No.
If you look at the real world, most diseases can be treatable. Just doctors want to keep you sick so they can make money. Its possible that same philosphy could be here. They keep the players in permenatly, they get the money. Simple concept.
It may even be a figurehead and not the corporation. Just a theory from worldly events

They didn't think anything could be done for the comatose victims anyway, and shutting down the servers would stop anyone else from being hurt. That's a LOT different than releasing something with the EXPLICT PURPOSE of hurting players, then stopping it so people will kiss their asses. They wouldnt? They were willing to shut down servers in the 4 part series and leave the comatose victims...well theyd be screwed.
1) Any proof he purposely did that? It could be he's a shitty programmer. One of the richest men in the world created a simple concept that you can do multiple things. We all know its windows. Its also made to be purposely flawed so it had to be fixed. Was that sinister? No.
2) I use Linux. Pwned.
Only like, evil doctors that are arrested for malpractice when they're found out. If the players are in the game permanently, then the players don't have to pay game fees because CC Corp can't remove them. Plus they'll have to suffer lawsuits from parents and family for mentally damaging 12 million people beyond repair. Yeaaaaaaa....that's a good business move.If you look at the real world, most diseases can be treatable. Just doctors want to keep you sick so they can make money. Its possible that same philosphy could be here. They keep the players in permenatly, they get the money. Simple concept.
Point is, CC Corp does not like **** getting into their games. Data Bugs, Vagrant AI's, Phases, comatose victims, players who can't log out, why would they go through ALL that work for the sake of getting more money, then decide to PUT THAT **** IN and waste all their efforts?
The fact of the matter is that CC Corp wouldn't make trouble for themselves, we all know that they would've been questioned about the relationship between their game and the coma victims.
The idea that a company like CC Corp would purposely mentally damage those that play its game is ridiculous. They simply don't want the hassle of handling all these attacks on them and would lose money in the process.

They're smirking so automatically they are conceiving some evil plot to take over the world and hurt millions of people? Wow. Remind me not to smirk anytime soon or I might get thrown in jail for being a terrorist. =/
Smirking constantly like they know everything is just the way Pai and Yata are. Ovan does the same damn thing over and over again. It annoys the hell out of me. But it's just the way things are. When people smirk like that, it's precisely because they wanna unsettle you and make you think they know more than you do. Which, in most cases, is true.

Well, if they'll put a ten year old to death for writing a virus....What would be the sentence for intentionally causing mental damage to millions of people?
Yata and Pai =/= CC Corp.it was just a thought since pai and yata were smirking for whatever reason. I couldnt grasp why they would. my bad if it caused in argument
You get 5 AuraTwilight points. You can kick God out of his throne with that much. They're smirking so automatically they are conceiving some evil plot to take over the world and hurt millions of people? Wow. Remind me not to smirk anytime soon or I might get thrown in jail for being a terrorist. =/

Woot. I can kick god out. But I really shouldn't. The world would end in about....well, not time at all.
Back to the point though, I wonder if CC will take a bit more of an active role than they did last time. It seems they already are, but I wonder about just how much manpower and money they'll put to use this time. I mean, last time it was just Lios and his team. So far, all we've seen are Yata and Pai. And those mentioned in the Interim Reports sort of count, I guess. Just how far are they willing to go to make things right again? Let's hope it's more than before.
