I was watching the first ep. of dusk on my comp and I noticed that Sugo and Rena act real different in the anime. For some reason Rena cant stop saying Onii-chan(brother) instead of calling him by name, I find it annoying. The manga is x1000 better than the anime.
That's because it is..Subaru. Comparing the anime and the manga, people agree that the manga is more better, because it has more to the plot,it tends to stick to the .hack timeline, atleast they explain things more than rush things like the anime did. Not only that, people got very fed up with the whole yelling out each other names with Shugo and Rena.
Does the manga they put out over here exclude the whole obsession Shugo has with Rena, considering they would look at us Americans and think "Oh no, they can't handle such a touchy, controversial subject!" like they did with Haruka/Michiru, hm?
I havent seen any of the manga volumns edited in any way of content. Shugo is protective of Rena and at the first few pages he's shocked by what his sister looks like in BR's avatar. He doesnt have romatic feelings just slightly disturbed that his sibling is wearing such skimpy armor.
Yeah just like Silvermane said..the manga is left the way it is,even here. How do I know? Because I have scanlations of the first volume, nothing was taken out in the final release of the TokyoPop version. I still laugh with the whole SM bit with those two..hah cousins. I'm not even a Sailor Moon fan,and I noticed that they werent "just" cousins. Not only that,my friend told me a day later what their relationship Really is from the fan subs she watched. I think with the anime in DUSK it did seem like Shugo and Rena were getting rather too close, thats just me though. Notice how in the anime when Rena is charmed, she goes after Shugo.. but in the manga, she goes after the Pumpkin monster instead.
