Changelog

Postby Lindz » Sat Nov 04, 2017 12:46 am

When CC2 said they were backporting features from Vol.2 & 3 into Vol.1 (and presumably from Vol.3 to Vol.2) did they mean all of them or some of them? What new features have they brought forth? Were the original localizations dumped straight into these releases, or did Bamco give the script a fresh editing pass? Let's find out! From the end of September up until last night I had replayed the G.U. games on PS2 to 100% completion. The time for fresh in mind comparisons is now! Oh an obviously this is very much a work in progress!

* PS4 Slim - Disc Copy
* Work in progress!

New Changes
- Previously you could only adjust the overall audio and choose between Stereo and Mono. The latter one has been removed. The former has changed to allow you to adjust audio levels on an indvidual basis: BGM, SFX, Voice, Movie.
- You can now choose between English or Japanese voice acting!
- New Title Screens! Gone are the originals and all that came with them (so long "Heartful and useful for all" followed by a line from each game).
- With the title screens gone, the hype videos which accompanied them are no longer viewable at each games startup... but no worry! You can now view them from the Movie Player on the desktop!
- The number of Save Slots is now 16 (up from 7).
- There's an optional "Cheat Mode" which starts you with max stats & gear? Sounds like fun to me!
- Haseo's movement speed has increased! An thats not all cause this applies to party members to! Its very apparent when they're chasing after Chim Chims for you!
- The very first battle in the original Rebirth netted Haseo 300 exp. in Rebirth HD that has increased to 390 exp. It should go without saying that exp payout has increased across the board.
- Platform Rest... originally one of the Guild Rank 8 upgrades (and originally named Platform Heal) is now available from the very start.
- As seen in Trails of Cold Steel and other games there is now a Retry option should you happen to fall in battle. This existed for Avatar fights in the originals but now it applies to all fights. Game Over? Hardly knew ya!
- There is now a Continue option on the title screen which with load your last saved game for you. The vanilla Load Data option still exists which allows you to select which file you want to load.
- You can now return to main menu of the collection from desktop by using the touchpad (something the G.U. series was desperately missing that IMOQ already had! though, they allowed this from within "The World" as well)!
- Pressing L3 will instantly open Haseo's item menu. If you're in a party, you also have access to the other members items through this quick menu!
- You can now sort items in your inventory/storage! By: Type, Date, Rarity, Asc./Desc.
- You can now store up to 999 Chim Spheres!!!
- Theres a bunch of new icons scattered about! Be it the affection symbol changing from a circle to a heart, the Guild Home one, area element symbols, and more!
- You can now skip Mecha Grunty's blasting off scene by pressing the Options button! If you're a monster that is.
- You can now switch between the Equipment & Customize menus without having to back out of one and go into the other! Simply press the Triangle button in either of those menus to swap!
- The Item Get sound now plays when adding items to the guild shop and storage. Ditto for pulling items out of those places. Umm, but why though?
- Haseo can now carry 90 Items & pieces of Equipment!
- The shop menu now has a backpack icon next to Haseo's portrait if he happens to have the currently selected item onhand or in storage.
- L1/R1 buttons are now displayed in the email box to let you know you can scroll with them.
- This above also applies to forum threads, though the buttons aren't displayed because??
- Because randomizers are the hot new thing there is now a randomized Wallpaper setting!
- There's now a meter in Avatar fights which gives an indication of how close you are to causing the enemy to be stunned.
- Outside of battle you can spam items!! Previously after each item use you'd get kicked back into the item menu. Now it remains open and the character you're targetting remains selected!
- The amount of any one Item you could carry used to be 50. This has been increased to 99!
- If for some reason you wanna quit out of an Avatar battle refight, you can now! Just pause then press the touchpad!
- The remove from party prompt now defaults to yes.
- The map will now display a checkmark next to the Warp Point you most recently used. (Vol.2/3)
- Saku and Bo now have seperate member addresses, making it simple to call which one ya want into your party!
- In very late-game Vol.3 a  certain returning party members level will now be caught up to speed with everyone elses, rather than where it had left off in Vol.2!

Backported (to Vol.1)
- In order to hide the mini-map you must now hit Selec... Touchpad then press Circle. (ported from Vol.2)
- 2 new camera options (B/A & B/B) are present. (ported from Vol.2)
- You are now able to change allies equipment. (ported from Vol.2)
- Party members will now chase and kick Chim Chims, Rare Chim Chims, and Lucky Animals. (ported from Vol.2)
- You can now press and hold L1 in fields and battles to keep your party members nearby. (ported from Vol.2)
- The type of Lucky Animal that would appear in an area was originally based off of the last digit of the areas level (a level 01, 11, etc. grass area would always have a Moon Rabbit). This was changed drastically by taking the average level or your party into account! That Moon Rabbit will now only appear in a grass area ending with 1 *if* your partys level average ends with a 0 (50, 60, etc.).(ported from Vol.2)
- The monsters "Carrie" & "Carrianne" were moved from the Demon category to the Crustacean category in Ryu Book VII. (ported from Vol.2)
- Once all monsters/opponents are dead, Demon Awakening will no longer continue to drain away your Morale gauge (unless ya keep spamming the X button lol, first found in Vol.2). (ported from Vol.2)
- Party members mention when Chim Assassins appear.(ported from Vol.2)
- Large white dots provide a trailing effect on mini-map, presumably to help you remember which way you were going after exiting battles. (Vol.2 introduced this effect, though the dots were smaller and red. Vol.3 made them larger and white.)
- Pressing Sta... er, Options allows you to skip the Beast and Demon Awakening opening sequence. (ported from Vol.3)
- The take platform to town option now defaults to "no". (ported from Vol.3)
- Now when multiple party members level up their weapons after a battle they'll all be shown together instead of seperately. (ported from Vol.3)
- The battle result screen no longer ends until you press X. It used to display for about 5 seconds before ending on its own. (ported from Vol.3)
- At the Quest Shop menu, there has always been a "Sort" option but it never did anything! However in this game, it will list them newest to oldest or newest mandatory to oldest mandatory - followed by oldest optional to newest optional. (ported from Vol.3)
- Some e-mails from the previous games have had terminology changes to match those used in Vol.3. For example: "Storage Expansion Silver" is now just "Silver Expansion". (ported from Vol.3)

Backported (to Vol.2)
- The tracking dots on the mini-map are now larger and colored white. (ported from Vol.3.)
- Now when multiple party members level up their weapons after a battle they'll all be shown together instead of seperately. (ported from Vol.3)
- The take platform to town option now defaults to "no". (ported from Vol.3)
- The battle result screen no longer ends until you press X. It used to display for about 5 seconds before ending on its own. (ported from Vol.3)
- Pressing Sta... er, Options allows you to skip the Beast and Demon Awakening opening sequence. (ported from Vol.3)

Not Ported (Vol.1 or 2)
- You still need to press R2/R3 to get out of first person view (starting in Vol.2 pressing the left analog stick also took you out of fpv).
- Beast & Demon Awakenings can only be activated with a full morale guage (starting in Vol.2 you only needed it half-filled and above).
- The map still displays when interacting with Mecha Grunty. (Vol.2)
- Previously, you could use Beginner's Text / Book items up to Level 10 and not beyond despite the cap being L10.99. Now however, you can use them all the way up to L20.99 before getting the "you have already reached the maximum level" notification! (Vol.2)
- Physical Attack and Magical Attack values (they were all 0 save for Black Armor) are no longer displayed under Armor and Accessories. (Vol.2)
- There is now a short pause when you change between main weapons both in and out of battle. (Vol.2)
- There is now split second delay between selecting a skill and it being used. (Vol.2)
- Monster groups have new patrol routes and are rarely as stationary as they were in the first game. (Vol.2)
- New smaller rooms and hallway designs have been added to cave dungeons. (Vol.2)
- A new type of scenery I call "budding trees" have been added to grassland areas. (Vol.2)
- Ryu Book VII now lists each monsters level range, allowing you to more easily create fields with specific monsters in mind. (Vol.2)
- The "Black Armor" no longer raises Physical Attack or Magical Attack and its Physical Defense value was raised. (Vol.2)
- Physical Attack and Magical Attack values (they were all 0 save for Black Armor) are no longer displayed under Armor and Accessories. (Vol.2)
- The morale guage is reset back to empty after each arena survival match instead of half. (Vol.2)
- Advice is now given at arena counter. It can also be viewed in the waiting room. (Vol.2)
- "The" (Moon, Death, etc) items are now displayed before elemental scrolls in your item inventory. (Vol.2)
- If a guild shop isn't carrying items, but is carrying equipment it will now start you on the equipment menu rather than the item one (this change showed up in Vol.3).
- Party member icons briefly show a "loading" graphic in various menus. (Vol.3)
- When alchemizing equipment you will be returned to the one you just alchemized instead of being sent back to the top of the list. This helps cut down on scrolling through the list to get back to where you were. (Vol.3)
- Scrolls are now listed above recovery items in the item inventory & storage. (Vol.3)
- A sound effect now plays at the "Symbol Fragments are starting to shine." message. (Vol.3)
- The text after collecting the last Symbol Fragment used to be "The Symbol Fragments have started to shine..." This has been changed to "Symbol Fragments are starting to shine." (Vol.3)
- If your equipment pack is full and you defeat a monster that drops a piece of equipment, the square button is now shown next to its name to allow you to see what it is customized with. This applies even if it isn't customized. (Vol.3)
- Monsters resume moving around instantly after using a smoke screen/bomb to escape from battle instead of standing still until it wears off as they did in the previous game. (Vol.3)
- Surprise Attacks no longer ignore enemy "shells". In Vol.1 & Vol.2 at a high enough level versus a much lower leveled shelled enemy, a surprise attack could instantly defeat them. In this game however, it's been changed so that you'll take a good chunk of the shell away but still need to hit it once more to destroy the shell, then hit the monster itself to defeat it. (Vol.3)
- The trap door warning message has been shortened. It used to be on screen for about 4 seconds, but is now there for about 1. This means the whole animation of trap doors closing and camera zooming to the unlock button goes by much faster as well. (Vol.3)

Patch Plz
- Vol1. Skills no longer have descriptions aside from those in Haseo's skill trigger menu O_o (not present in Vol.2/3 HD)
- Vol.1 Neither Accessories nor Armor display P-DEF or M-DEF. They do however display P-ATK and M-ATK which is... pointless since they're all 0 in those catergories. (not present in Vol.2/3 HD)
- I've encountered a stange audio glitch a couple of times. Occasionally against normal monsters the normal battle theme doesn't play. Instead, the boss theme does instead! Ontop of that, I could still hear the regular sunny grass field music playing at the same time!
- The game crashed on me once after selecting which Arena team I wanted to face in a "Limit Battle".
- Vol.1/2: Desktop BGM Cave, Shrine, and Corridor will sometimes not play. To get them back save & quit outta the game, or log in and enter an area associated with these songs and then once you've logged back out to the desktop they should all be working again.
- Vol.2: While in the Guild or Platform storage menu attempting to "Exchange" a 5 star ranked item will cause controller buttons to became unresponsive leaving the player stuck there and forced to quit out of the game with the PS button. (not present in Vol.3 HD)
- Vol.2: On one occasion after returning to Dol Dona from an area, the towns BGM was not playing. It returned after entering and exiting the shop nearby the guild entrance.
- Vol.2: Using the skill "Rig Geam" in an Arena battle will cause the game to crash.
- Vol.3: After using the touchpad and choosing to return to the collections main menu the game crashed.

(issues I've read other people having, but haven't myself)

- Vol.2: Using the Flyer Radar can cause the game to crash.
- Vol.2: When skipping the Divine Awakening animation theres a chance the screen could go white and stay that way forcing you to quit out of the game. Supposedly if ya wait until the "skip" text is shown on screen you should be safe.

Yikes. I can see why they would change that.

I only just posted my final* update to the list based on Vol.1! I started Vol.2 earlier this evening and found an error minutes after all the cutscene stuff ended x.x;

LW's starting at 3 is huge. Thats 245 less Virus Cores to farm for meaning its much more likely to have the Virus Core exchange shop available by the time the post-game stuff starts. Instead of farming VCs to finish the weapons off, they can go straight to buying Master's Texts for the new/latecomer party members! I'm getting pretty hype about this change!

* there may be other stuff ta find about Vol.1 that went unnoticed first time through, such as PC dialogue which I only lightly cross-checked

Thanks for this list. I've been looking for something like it. As someone who was totally obsessed with the original releases, this is really interesting to read.

You are really a next-level fan, Lindz! I appreciate all your dedication on recording all the logistics and little details of the series all these years.

Thanks! Even as things slow down I'll be keeping it updated for some time to come! Playing through the games and noticing stuff is just part one really. As some of the odd item description changes have proven I'll need ta dig deep an inspect that stuff more closely, plus PC dialogue (aaaarrrgghhh) an heck, if at some point they patch the games I'll have to note things which were fixed! It bites not being able ta read or talk about Vol.4 stuff but I am sticking with not playing it until I'm done Vol.1-3 LR-style!

btw right now theres one possible change I'm having a hard time confirming. In the localized Reminisce "The World" title screen said version 2.26, same as Rebirth. I always though that was odd since IMOQ had different version numbers for each game. Here in the LR collection its changed to 2.98 for Reminisce an I'm wondering if this is a new change or something missed in the original localization. I'm having a heck of a hard time just finding footage of the JP PS2 version of Reminisce, nevermind in good enough quality video that I can actually makeout the numbers on the title screen x.x; Just throwing this out there incase someone on here has access to the original game or screenshot/video which is actually legible!

I just checked and Japanese Volume 2 for PS2 is version 2.98. I don't have the number but the versioning for The World in the first series reflected the version of the game engine as far as I could tell. For example, U.S. Infection matched the version number and features of Japanese Outbreak - or something like that.

Ohhh so it was an oversight! Fits with Vol.2/3's localizations being not as polished as 1's was!

An thats a neat factoid on them having the versions reflect the actual game engine! Very fun use of "meta"!

Due to posting space concerns I'm splitting the list! Technical stuff covered up there in the OP, game / localization issues down here!

The Uncorrected
- Shino still has the wrong color in early game cutscenes...
- In the News article titled "Day Trip to NY! ASST Begins Service" they use (1*) rather than (*1) which is used in every other article that has a note.
- Oimatsu & IGA still have each others dialogue (this was actually corrected in the original Vol.2).
- Several errors regarding Hokuto's first email remain unfixed ("Lena", "Emma Willant's", "her").
- The camera locking glitch is still present.
- The in-game timer still highly inaccurate.
- Forum thread "Job of Multi-Weapon" has retained that name despite the whole Adept Rogue thing.
- Terminal Disc: During Interim Report 3, its stated Cubia appears for a 3rd battle with Kite which is wrong. Minutes later this is corrected when Jun says "After a long and diffcult second battle...". This error is still present. (To be fair it could be considered ambiguous since its Kites 3rd time encountering Cubia but only the 2nd time fighting it.)
- Theres a graphical error in Temple areas where you can see a weird shadow in the sky a room or so before the Beast Statue.
- Vol.2: In an Apkallu forum post, The Divine Fist Ouka is wrongly called Houka the God Fist.
- Terminal Disc: During Interim Report 11, Gord is mislocalized as "Godo" both in spelling and pronunciation. also Sagisaka isn't quite right nor is B Set (should be Sakisaka, Gord, and Bset).
- Vol.3: In the Apkallu thread "Duck and Chim" the OP refers to Dol Dona as the "Eternal City" while it should be "Celestial City".
- Online Jack: in episode 8 "The World" login screen is shown and the version number 2.26 is on it. This is a continuity error since it should match Vol.3's 3.58 version number!
- In various forum threads people talk about the Medic Union members saying "nyan" but in the game itself they say "meow".
- In the Apkallu thread "Gold Bird" the poster ACE say the Lucky Animal "Moon Rabbit" is called "Moon Bunny" which is technically wrong I guess.
- In a "The World" thread called "Cloudy Steel and Cloudy Fur" the poster NAOO wants to know where to find a "Nobel Wand" when in fact it should be "Spell Noble".
- Vol.3: In a couple of emails the "Dusty Miller" item is instead called a "White Chrysanthemum" for some odd reason.

So they noticed! (Vol.1)
- In the original version, the News article titled "Another Accident At CC Corp." is strangely re-titled "CC Corp. Employees Happy In New Office" at the top of the article itself. This has been corrected.
- In the official forum thread "Working people fall in!" the player Saltaholic's name is mispelled as "Soltaholic". His guild name Saltmania is mispelled as "Sultmania". This has been corrected.
- Under Ryu Book IV you can view "Weapons", "Armor", "Accessories", and "Items in Storage". The last one being an error which isn't corrected until Vol.3 where it is changed to "Items". This correction now applies to Vol.1 HD.
- In the original version "Fault" was used as both Chapter 14 & 16's name. In the HD version, Chapter 16 is now named "Rogue". Which is fitting since this is the time when the Job Extension event appears.
- In the original version (of all 3 games no less) trying to use a Fairy's Orb in certain places would display the message: "This item cannot be used him." This has been corrected as the message now says "This item cannot be used here."
- Hangeki is now displayed when using counterattacks in arena fights. Previously in Vol.1 & 2 the Rengeki text was used.
- Tri-Strikes rengeki text was changed from "Tri.Strike" to "Tri-Strike". (was originally corrected in Vol.2)
- The preview video for Vol.2 now has Vol.2: Reminisce! Originally it just said .hack//G.U. presumably because the english title for the game hadn't yet been decided on!

So they noticed! (Vol.2)
- In the original version (of all 3 games no less) trying to use a Fairy's Orb in certain places would display the message: "This item cannot be used him." This has been corrected as the message now says "This item cannot be used here."
- In the official forum thread "Working people fall in!" the player Saltaholic's name is mispelled as "Soltaholic". His guild name Saltmania is mispelled as "Sultmania". This has been corrected.
- The people running the Guild Shops in Dol Dona for Moon Tree, Kestrel, Medic Union, Trifle and Empireo have no dialogue. This is obviously an error since in Vol.3 they do dialogue when spoken to there. This has been corrected! No more blank dialogue!
- After getting a Job Extension one of the notifications that popup will say you've received a "Scythe Slice". Problem is, theres no weapon with that name! The one ya end up with in your inventory is "Scythe Shouxiao"! This ones been fixed as well! No more Slice!
- Dr. Kubo: "I'll hold onto the Chim Chim Radar for now."
The problem here is that Chim Chim Radar was the name of the item found in Vol.1. In this game it was called Chim Examiner. This has been corrected!
- Captain: Congratulations on your victory at the Demon Palace. To go to Hy Brasail, choose "Set Sail." Except its the Holy Palace you won in this volume! This got corrected!
- Captain: Did you have a good time at the party? To go to Hy Brasail, choose "Set Sail". This is said even
when you're already at Hy Brasail!! This also got corrected! He now says: Captain: Did you have a good time at the party? To return, choose "Set Sail".
- Pao: "I'll hold onto that Lucky Ball and Animal Radar since you won't be needing it."
The problem here is that Lucky Ball was the name of the item found in Vol.1. In this game it was called Lucky Sphere. This has been corrected!
- In the Japanese PS2 version of this game, "The World" log in screen displayed the version number 2.98. However in the localized game, it remained 2.26 which Rebirth had used. This has been corrected!
- The Vol.3 preview video doesn't have any subtitles. This is strange since the on for Vol.2 did. Well now it does have 'em!
- The description for the added effect Past Invite is "Half the target's HP." Half? Really? Shouldn't it be Halve? This has been changed with the new description: "Regular attacks halve the target's HP. This effect does not trigger if the enemy is many levels apart from you."

So they noticed! (Vol.3)
- In the Apkallu thread Cuteness Up, a broadsword called "Centipede" is discussed. Vol.3 wallpaper 038 also calls it "Centipede". However there is no sword by that name! That item is clearly the "Broad Legged"! This has been corrected... save for one last remaining mention of "Centipede" in the very first post of the thread!
- The description for the added effect Past Invite is "Half the target's HP." Half? Really? Shouldn't it be Halve? This has been changed with the new description: "Regular attacks halve the target's HP. This effect does not trigger if the enemy is many levels apart from you."
- Pao: "This magical item is called a Lucky Ball. I invented it myself." and "If you can fill up the Lucky Ball with data, I'll be quite happy." and "I'll hold onto that Lucky Ball and Animal Radar since you won't be needing it."
The problem here is that Lucky Ball was the name of the item found in Vol.1. In this game it was called Luck Sphere. This was corrected by changing the items name to Lucky Ball!
- Dr. Kubo: "I'll hold onto the Chim Chim Radar for now."
The problem here is that Chim Chim Radar was the name of the item found in Vol.1. In this game it was called Chim Data Radar. This has been corrected!
- Late in the game after exiting out of a cutscene in Raven you'll be reminded to go to the area "Sigma Fleeing Dismayed Emotion". The odd thing here is that the area name is displayed with a purple font color which is strange since area names are always in a golden color! This has been fixed cause area names are now in blue color!
- In an even later late game cutscene there's a subtitle error in which the text "...Man, what was that all about?" is used twice despite not matching the spoken dialogue. This has been fixed!
- In a post-game quest a thing called the "Gear of Malice" is brought up. In dialogue form it has that name but in system message windows its called "Gear of Evil" which is pretty weird! However it is now "Gear of Malice" all the way through!

New Oddities
- Voiced dialogue from IYOTEN and Silabus regarding the use of the former "Select" button (now the Touchpad) has been muted. Actually, it seems every character that mentions any button is a previously voiced line is now muted.
- The subtitle for the Blade Brandiers Sword Flash skill says "Shadow Flash". 11 year old mistranslation, or recent mistranslation?
- Vol.1: In the original Rebirth you could sort Bookmarks and Warp Records in the following ways:
Alphabetical
Treasure Level
Monster Level
Lost Ground
Guild
Server
New
Old
Strangely, the first three options are now gone. Also strange is that you can no longer sort your Warp Records. An beyond strange is that the original Vol.2 removed the Alphabetical and Server options! So why was the perpetually useless Server one kept around? (Strangely Vol.2/3 HD retains its SD version sorting options, including being able to use it under Warp Records.)
- Vol.1: You can instantly open the menu upon entering a new floor/block in Caves/Temples. ...this is odd, but welcome, because starting with the original Vol.2 you had to wait approximately 3 seconds before being able to open the menu.
- Here's something really throwing me off: The party member status for "Online" has changed from Blue to Gray. "Offline" has changed from Gray to Blue.
- Vol.1: Rip Mumyn is now Rip Mumin. In the original Vol.1 both the skill name and its description used Rip Mumyn. In Vol.2 it became Rip Mumin. In Vol.3 the skill name remained Rip Mumin, but in its description it went back to being called Rip Mumyn.
- Vol.1/2: the first Alchemy Factory tutorial message uses [Cronos Spike] + [Cronos Spike] = [Cronos Spike +1]. In the original Spin Gai Gu was used... probably because there is no weapon in the game called Cronos Spike! This madeup/mislocalized weapon first appeared in Vol.2 where the NPC IGA mentions receiving one.
- Vol.1: Mumyn Lei has become Munim Lei which is just... what?
- Vol.1: Death Grunty has more lines of dialogue when talking to him in the Alchemy Factory.
- Vol.1: Canard Key: Guild master's key to enter Canard's Home. (PS2) is now~ Canard Key: Guildmaster's key to enter Canard's Home. (HD)
- Vol.1: Fortress Stone: A round heavy stone with moss on the surface. (PS2) is now~ Fortress Stone: A heavy round stone with moss on the surface. (HD)
- This ones hard to explain but basically the way NPCs are loaded into towns seems to have changed for the worse. It feels like its more efficient(?) to swap back and forth between towns to get different ones to load in rather the old log out/log in method.
- Vol.1: In a very early cutscene video "8 Months Later" shows up in the video. However in the subtitle it says "8 Month Later".
- Vol.1: The first Chapter title "First Day" has been changed to "First Cry". The second Chapter title has been changed from "deja vu" to "Deja Vu".
- The Movie Player pages are now 01 to 05. Originally they had used 00 to 04. Also odd because the BGM/Wallpaper numbering still begins with 00.
- The text in the ever-present blue rectangle on the desktop is now completely different!
- Originally when going through certain sections of Mac Anu the game would freeze for a second for loading. This still occurs, however the screen goes black instead of continuing to show the game screen. Ditto for the loadpoint in Dol Dona.
- Vol.1/2: There's a translation error which says you can Alchemize equipment which are up to 20 levels apart (a feature introduced in the original Vol.3). However if you try to do this, you'll be told you can't because Alchemized equipment only works with a 10 level difference between them. (not present in Vol.2 HD)
- Vol.2: At the very start of the game, the NPC Tiphereth has part of her dialogue no longer displays. Text inside parenthesis is what got eaten:
 • We're inside of "The World" right now (, aren't we?)
Ah, I don't mean that we're playing "The World" (, I mean that we actually exist inside of it now.)
I'm sorry, it's hard for me to say... Do you get what I'm trying to say?
• If we're inside "The World" now (, what's become of my real self...)
I hope this doesn't mean...that I've fallen into a coma...

- Vol.2: Whoops! The tutorial message about now being able to change party member equipment is still there lol. This was a feature backported into Vol.1 and as such doesn't make sense to display here anymore.
- Vol.2: When alchemizing, or exiting then re-entering the Alchemize menu may cause the space where Haseo's name should be, to instead be blank, the name of the party member you had last selected in the alchemy menu before exiting it, or some very strange characters/symbols.
- Vol.2: The level requirement for Spin Indigo is incorrect. It says 61 while actually being 62.
- AIDA-011:
-> AIDA < Anna >'s structure data.
-> Structure data of AIDA < Anna >.
- Cow Stomach: when attached to...
-> Dual Sword the first word in the weapons name changes to "Blunt". For all other weapon types the word becomes "Gravity". (PS2)
-> Dual Sword/Guantlet/Staff/Grimoire the first word in the weapons name changes to "Blunt". For all other weapon types the word becomes "Gravity". (PS4)
- Lance Angel: when attached to any piece or armor the first word in the armors name becomes "Rigid" in the PS2 games. However it is now "Deflecting" in the PS4 editions.
- Staff Angel: when attached to any piece or armor the first word in the armors name becomes "Padded" in the PS2 games. However it is now "Resilient" in the PS4 editions.
- Grimore Angel: when attached to any piece or armor the first word in the armors name becomes "Deaf" in the PS2 games. However it is now "Numb" in the PS4 editions.
- Fan Angel: when attached to any piece or armor the first word in the armors name becomes "Slick" in the PS2 games. However it is now "Droll" in the PS4 editions.
- Chaotic PKer "Lady Bomber Jahad" has been renamed "Explosive Gia".
- Vol.3: The text after collecting the last Symbol Fragment used to be "The Symbol Fragments have started to shine..." This has been changed to "Symbol Fragments are starting to shine." This slight text change found in the original Vol.3 is not present in the HD version.
- Vol.3: A monster once named "Captain Hook" is now named "Captain Crook".
- Vol.3: The Guild Rank 8 once named "Platform Heal" is now named "Platform Full Heal", the name of the original Rank 9 reward. Despite the name change it still has the same description/features and price of the vanilla "Platform Heal".
- Vol.3:  One of Cubia's attacks was once named "Jihad". This has been changed to "Mjöllnir" because??? Super endgame spoiler which idk why was okay in 2003/2004/2007 but not 2017. Thanks for breaking continuity?
- Vol.3: After the main stories over you'll get an email from someone called Ono and within it theres a difference between the old and new version of the game which also creates an error in the new version because there is no "thanksgiving" to select!
-> PS2: If you'll accept, please select "The Sweepstakers" in a Limit Battle in the Sage Palace.
-> PS4: If you'll aceept, please select "thanksgiving" in a Limit Battle in the Sage Palace.
- Vol.3: Malphas is now listed as being a L111 - 120 monster whereas before it was L121 - 130.
