CC2 has updated their website. .hack//Archives 02 Black & White is set for its release on 7/10. Looking at the images it seems to have a lot of information. I can already see the prototype and predeisgns for several of the characters yay. Click on the images in the second link to zoom in, you can get an idea of what I am talking about.

Yup, all we can see from there are the designs and sketches of all the characters as they were shown in the Prototype video, including some i don't remember seeing at all. I'm almost sure this will contain information as well about Black Rose and any other characters that could've been planned to be in the games but never made it, and probably enemies and places too.

so what is the archive? im guessing something that has information of all past .hack stuff? or is it like something new they are coming out with that has new stuff they will be releasing?

Yeah. .hack//Archives are a collection of information reguarding the projects for .hack. Its similar to a databook but contains several details on the creation of those series, this might include storyboard, concept design or whatever they decided to fit in. .hack//Archives 02 Black & White is the G.U. edition of these books, the first was made for the movie, Trilogy.

hey guys, I managed to place a preorder for the 2nd Archive, via proxy, so if everything goes well, I'll start posting it when it comes in (fingers crossed). So glad I dont have to spend 3x the price for it like last time.

Not yet. I dont think its released till the end of the month.

CC2 has released .hack//G.U. Archives 02 BLACK and sales from 8/12 ~ 9/11. It cost 6,700 Yen and found at E-Bay for $198.00. As last time the book is limited. It details the design and construction for .hack//G.U. (Games)

Hey, I just got Archives 2 Black in the mail. Its pretty awesome. Pretty much all concept art but its pretty awesome seeing their initial line of thinking for characters in the beginning. I'll probably start scanning tonight and probably have the first set of scans up by tuesday (my internet sux so i gotta get to the library or something to upload them) I'll probably go with mediafire this time since there isn't the same limit on downloads as rapidshare. I'll probably reup Archives 1 there as well so its all together.

Congradulations. This brings things one step closer.
