the term 'eating' is used Yata in Rebirth in reference to one epitaph using data drain on another epitaph.

i know this sounds stupid but that would mean if macha data drained an epitaph that means it ate through its.........

Yata uses the term "eat" to describe the process of one Avatar Data-Draining another because of the beastly nature the Avatars have. Such beastly nature is shown when Haseo loses control of Skeith when fighting Magus.

I'm not sure about the japanese version, but in the American one when Haseo activates Skeith while fighting Kuhn, Pi and Antares, he yells "Get out of my way.....or I'll eat you alive!"
