.hack//Link Localization Campaign

Post by d5t »

Dothackers is in the early stages of organizing a full blown campaign to get Namco Bandai's attention for their... lack of attention towards .hack//Link. More details will come during the month (and preliminary start of the campaign sometime in December), but for now we want a good name for the campaign.

Post your name suggestion here or on our Facebook fanpage: http://www.facebook.com/dothackers We are trying to gauge the most popular name and use it for the campaign!

Why wont we suggest to take the 5 best and only choose one to represent dothackernet? Just a suggestion, nothing more.

.hack//Link BPD (By Popular Demand)...Bah I'm bad at names. .hack//We promise to buy, I don't know, how do you advertise to the advertisers? I guess some sort of poll promising to buy the product based on the copies made...

I can't think of anything witty or funny; the only title I got is "Localize .hack//Link". Hey, at least it gets the message across. :V

I haven't posted here for years but still pay attention to the dothackers tweets and this thread got my attention.

I don't really have a campaign name, but I got an idea and whipped up this image instead
Image

It's a bit rough around the edges since it's a rush job, but you get the idea ;)

How he managed to get his hair under that hat is beyond me :p

It's missing something.

...Like, fireworks in the background.
....and the finale of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture playing.

This is awesome! It might become the face of the campaign! Thanks for contributing!

@d5t Honestly that pic is amazing. I think we should go with that and maybe spice it up a lil bit like Aru said.

Agreed.

Vylen, can you make the image a transparent PNG? I'm having an issue with it in photoshop because the hat is pretty close to the white BG when I try to make it transparent. Not an uber photoshop user, but I know some tricks.

Well, my suggestions were honestly a joke. I think it looks pretty good the way it is...then again, I'm a big fan of minimalist style, so I feel less is usually better.

...Although I still think adding the 1812 Overture (somehow) would make this even more epic.
