Capcom, Sega, Namco crossover game revealed

Post by Sadivinedevil »

Project X (Pronounced "cross") Zone will be a Strategy RPG featuring characters from some of the franchises of the 3 Publishers. So far Kite and Blackrose have been announced, and many other characters like Dante (Devil May Cry) and KOS-MOS (Xenosaga) have also been announced.

It's a 3DS game, which means it's region-locked. So hope for a localization?

I'd really have no faith in the video game industry when a crossover from 3 publishers doesn't get released outside of Japan. It would also be a wasted effort if they didn't plan on releasing it outside of Japan. Namco might have a bad track record of not localizing games, but Capcom and SEGA have been relatively okay when it comes to localization, knowing that Valkyria Chronicles 3 wasn't localized.

This is great. Also everyone has a solid point. Namco Bandai doesn't have nice a track record for release their games and for their international services anything is a hefty risk. However, I don't believe we have to worry much. I doubt all three publishers & developers would turn down an international release of their own game. It doesn't sound like they have formula for failure luring behind them at least with the popularity of the characters they are adding.

With those 3 I'm expecting the list to go like this:
Dante (DMC3 hopefully)
Sonic
Megaman (Preferably Megaman X and/or Zero)
KOS-MOS
Kite
Blackrose
Siegfried (SoulCalibur)
Nightmare (SoulCalibur)
God knows which Tekken Characters, probably Yoshimitsu.
Monster Hunter
Onimusha
Resident Evil (A major Selling point for most capcom games lately)
Street Fighter
Darkstalkers
Okami

So my theory was right? I made a thread about Kite possibly being teased in the collaboration project. I now have a reason to buy a 3DS now.

For those following the progress of this game, the main site has opened!

It's still fairly bare but there are the full sized images of the various revealed characters, along with vocal clips!

For Kite's profile -> http://pxz.channel.or.jp/entry/bng03.html

For Black Rose's profile -> http://pxz.channel.or.jp/entry/bng03_02.html

Each vocal clip has something a bit different to it; the first clip is normally the character's title (if they have one) and name, the second and third shine a little bit on what they do or their backgrounds.

The site is supposed to update later on in the month with a trailer and other information as well!

Well unfortunately I'm only gonna have one space to rotate characters through. Because since BlackRose is in the game, she will permanently attached to my party. There is no debate or discussion about this. That's just the way it goes.

I'm assuming you get a main character and then 2 people to join you on whatever the story is.

First trailer:

Despite what the video may show, it is an SRPG, just like a certain Japan-only...

And with this week's Famitsu, we also get word that the Goddess of 'The World', Aura, joins Project X Zone!

(It's unknown if she'll be a support or playable character)

This should work: Cache

I like your new avatar, how much was the commission? Also has anyone gotten Project X Zone yet. I want to know what's going on story wise.

Ahh, thanks for that Phantom! Okay, that does sound promising. I have a 3DS already so that game's down on my list.

(Another thanks. And the commission was $40 at the time)
