Witch Hunter Robin

Post by Beowulf »

Witch Hunter Robin has been airing on Adult Swim for it's third week now. I'm wondering what do you think about it. Please state your opinions about it and why you feel that way. Also please try to write more than five sentances and make sure that it is not off-topic. I don't want tihs to be locked, because people went off-topic to much. That would make me very sad if that is why it got locked.

*Sorry about not adding "great" to the poll options. Must have had a brain lapse. :D *

I think it is awesome! Just because it is so cool how the characters are and seeing the different powers they make up for these witches and the whole concept of an actual witch hunt group is really cool and it is just awesome! so why don't you have great as a choice?

I won the first DVD at the University of NSW's Anime Club screening last Friday. I was quite pleased about that :)

But anyway, I enjoyed the series immensely. I don't really know exactly why I enjoy it so much. The animation is well done, and the action scenes are well coreographed (if "coreographed" is a word which can be used for animation). The main storyline is quite involving as well, with some real sneaky tricks thrown in on top (and I'm talking REAL sneaky). I did get a little lost when the series started moving from the monster-of-the-week storyline to the main storyline, but it got clearer after that point :D

I voted that it was a good show. It is slow in the begining, but that is just to get you familiar with the characters. It eventually get's more in-depth, instead of the catch a witch every episode. The drawings are well done and the witch hunting concept is pretty cool. Especialy with how the hunting is done.(I won't tell you. Don't want to spoil it. ) All in all it is a well done anime. 8)

After Family Guy and Futurama, Witch Hunter Robin is my favorite show on A.S. I ike it for the Story line basicly. And because I am into the Magical type of stuff. If I could, I would watch it every night.

Its one of the coolest anime ever. The story line is pretty cool. My favorite phrase is "What gives you the right"
"Your a witch"
I thought that was cool

Me, obsessed. I shouldn't have to say anymore.

Animation style seems incredibly realistic, the entire subject of the show takes an old-world theme (Witches and superstition as well as hunting them) and puts it into a very modern, if not even more advanced, society of today.

Ah yes, my other over 100 dollar addiction. Ive already bought the 3 volumns that are out and I cant wait til I see the end of this marvelous series. I absolutely love any anime that focuses on story/character developement. Excellent music gives it an even bigger appeal. :D

I liked the music too! It changes to neat music when Robin uses her powers. By the way, did anyone see the episode on wednesday? It's the episode when (don't read spoiler if you don't want to ruin it for yourself)

the STNJ is attacked by those gun toting hunters that are after Robin and in the end Aumun (i think that's how you spell it) saves Robin and gets shot a lot of times

Don't worry though, he's

still alive for those of you who want to know[/quote]

It's Amon. And that second spoiler section isn't very nice, I don't think, because anyone who knows enough about the series to read the first will probably read the second, and I (at the time I watched it) would not have wanted it to be given away like that...
