I just got to episode 17 of this anime, and holy f***ing s*** is it serious... Murder Mysteries, Murders, Accidents, Conspiracies, and Giant Robots... I'm gonna tell you right away, stop before episode 12 to prepare to marathon through the rest of it, because you won't be able to sleep otherwise.
EDIT: After watching to the end, it loses a bit of seriousness and starts babbling about "the love of robots" too much, which is that whole "the power of love conquers all" cheesiness you get in a lot of anime that made the ending rather unsatisfying.
Though I must admit, the sudden unexpected plot twist was pretty impressive.
