[Zorolo]

Zorlo gave the dark elf an uncomfortable look. It had been a long, long time since he had seen a Dark Elf. "Miss, it is… quite odd you have brought a dark elf here. They…" Zorlo paused as he looked at the dark elf again. "Forgive me, it is nothing," the man stated as he looked at the demon lord. "IF you are a demon lord, please restrain yourself from doing the like. I am not equipped to attempt to combat such things," Zorlo stated as he grabbed it faintly magical sword. It was the only thing besides his oboe that linked him to traveling and combat.

"What is the plan, Ms. Alis?"

[Kaori]

"The plan is simple, we shoot the thing down with our guns, the forces who fought during the Ginza incident managed to take down a bunch of dragons." said Alis, "Dragons are an ancient race, they are also quite proud of themselves for being ancient, but some of them are working alongside the Holy Empire as flying auxiliaries, and they raid villages and cities from time to time for food." said Arawn, "Some of them are wise and benevolent, but many of them are violent brutes, I say you should bring this one down, painfully." said Arawn, The group continued to travel until they reached the village, in the village, many of the villagers looked at them with awe, Cloe then went in front of the group and then announced something to the people, they then began to cheer, Alis didn't know what she said, but it made the people happy, Cloe then turned to them and said, "I will take you to our elder, Origa Discordia, she will explain everything about the Dragon.", with that, the group went to see the elder.

*Elder's hut*
Alis was really perturbed by the Elder's outfit, it was a rather revealing outfit, Alis assumed that an overhead view would already expose her nipples, Alis noted that despite being called Elder, she looked no older than her mid twenties, the Elder had a neutral look on her face, and motioned for Cloe to come closer, they began to talk to each other in their native tongue, and then Origa turned to them and said, "My Confidant and bodyguard, Cloe, has told me of how you people destroyed an army of a hundred thousand, I didn't believe this to be true at first, but from what she told me, the battlefield in front of your castle is still littered with the corpses of the Unified Kingdom's army, and your flying arks having hunted down their remnants, when the Unified Kingdom's army was on the move I made a terrible mistake, to save our people, I summoned an ancient fire dragon to protect us, but it instead began to attack us, our race normally never asks for help, but now, we humble ourselves before you, and ask that you save us from my mistake." said the Elder, "We will do everything we can, just point us to where the dragon is." said Alis, The Elder then showed them the directions.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo had watched the Dark Elves quietly. He crossed his arms and listened. What they wanted was reasonable, but he was concerned with the situation. Dark Elves weren't know for their codes of honor. They were likely to stab the group in the back… but the success against a dragon might make them bend knee. "We might be weary, Miss Alis. These people… aren't terribly well known for their loyalty. They're not indifferent to that complaining guy you put in the infirmary," the green-haired elf stated certainly. "Just please… let us tread lightly."

[Kaori]

"Don't worry, if we don't end up reporting back to base, they'll send somebody to check on us." said Alis, the Elder and Cloe were with them in the APC, the driver drove until they reached a large cave, "Here we are." said the Elder, "I wish to see how you will fight the Dragon, then I can believe what my Protege here said." said Elder Discordia, the JSDF soldiers and Alis spread out with their Panzerfaust 3's, The Elder went forward and shouted something, loud thuds were then heard and felt, out of the cave, came a huge dragon, it roared, and then looked down on the Elder, and spoke, "Ah, my Summoner, have you finally decided to become mine?" said the Dragon, "No I have not, I have come to ask you to stop attacking us, and leave us." said the Elder, The Dragon gave off a chuckle, "My Summoner, do you not understand? I am Kael! The destroyer of armies! The Bane of Dragon Hunters! Scourge of Sorcerers! No man can slay me!" roared the dragon, "How about a woman?" Said Alis, "Backblast Clear!" yelled Alis as she pulled the trigger on the Panzerfaust 3, the rocket was launched at the left forearm, a large explosion engulfed the arm, as the smoke cleared, the arm fell off, "YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!" roared the dragon, but before he could take off, the other soldiers opened fire with their Panzerfaust 3's.

*That night, Erdes tribe village*
The village was celebrating the fact that the fire Dragon was dead, and even better was that the JSDF soldiers allowed them to take the scales off the Dragon to sell, they will be very rich, Cloe was sitting near the fire telling the story to some children, "... And then she shouted 'Bakblast clir!' and the Rod of steel shot out a flaming metal tip, it blew the Fire Dragon's arm right off!" said Cloe, the children made sounds of awe, Alis was with the Elder, "You know, now I don't doubt your power." said the Elder, "In fact, I want my tribe to move in with your people, we would feel safer, our people have often been the targets of slavers, we could appreciate it if we could stay with your people." said the Elder, Alis turned to Itami and talked to him about it, they then used the radio to contact HQ about it, The commander then figured that if they had more of the locals on their side, the better, so they approved.

*The next morning*
The Dark Elves were all in traveling cloaks, all of them leaving for safety with the JSDF.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo sat quietly and continued to play a requiem of peace. He couldn't clear from his mind his concerns. The Dark Elves feigned their weakness, but Zorlo was never easily fooled. Their women and men were all dressed lightly with the intent of moving quickly with weapons to cut down their foes. Zorlo looked at the sky and sighed. "Well, I hope Miss Alis knows what she's doing. I sense something very bad coming soon… something like a storm."

[Kaori]

As the caravan moved, a group watched them from up a cliff, the leader of the group, a man with a large sword, smiled, "Take them." he said.

The main group was inside the Type 96 when they heard a commotion from outside, men on horses were attacking the caravan, Alis then popped herself up on the MG and proceeded to fire upon the mounted assailants, the ones on board the Komatsu's had the same idea, the horsemen were brought down, the Dark Elves ducked as MG fire filled the air, when the dust cleared, in front of the caravan, stood a man with a large sword, he had some hostages taken from the caravan, "Listen up you wretched Dark Elves! Don't do anything stupid, or these ones will lose their heads!", shouted the man with the large sword, Men began to surround the caravan, "Hold your fire!" commanded Itami, Alis didn't like where this was going, "These men are slavers." said Arthur, "What do we do?" asked Riannon, Alis cursed herself, she could shoot that bastard with the hunk of scrap metal with the MG no problem, but he had hostages, as Alis contemplated on their dilemma, they failed to notice Arawn was missing.

Arawn stood at a cliff overlooking the group, the Slavers numbered in about 30, all of them armed with swords, Arawn noted that the JSDF could take them all down had they not had hostages, Arawn then began to think of a plan.....

[Zorolo]

Zorlo leapt down and stared at the man. "I recognize your kind are like wild animals. You're weak on your own and defenseless against a superior foe, but let's settle this the old fashion way," the green-haired man stated as he drew his slightly magical sword from his side. "I don't have time to waste trying to let you settle this out like a coward. I'll fight you in single combat, and if I win, you and your men will throw down your weapons and leave… given you keep your head, that is."

[Kaori]

The man with the large sword grabbed one of the hostages and proceeded to bash his head on the large sword, he kept on doing it till the man was bloody all over the face, "Fool! Do you think I wouldn't do it? Throw down your weapons!" he yelled, "Get back here you idiot!" yelled Alis, but before they could do anything else, a large shadow appeared behind the man with the large sword, the slavers turned to see the shadow, and in what Alis could describe as, "Absolutely terrifying.", all of a sudden, the slavers began spontaneously started bleeding, Alis looked closely and saw that their own shadows were hurting themselves, the slavers were being killed by their own shadows, their leader found himself facing Arawn, the silver haired man then drew his sword on the slaver leader and cut his hand off, the man fell to his knees as Arawn then slammed the hilt of his sword on his head, crushing his skull, the Dark Elves then began to bow, "It is him, the great Demon King Arawn!" yelled one of them, Arawn sighed, "Do not bow." he commanded, the Dark Elves didn't listen though and continued bowing, it took a while to get the Caravan moving again.

*Inside the APC*
"What was that all about?" Alis asked Arawn, "I am the Great Demon King, and that was just a display of my powers." said Arawn, "I'm what you call a God to some people around here." he added, "I see, but why didn't you unleash your powers when we were going after that dragon?" asked Alis, "Oh, I just didn't feel like it." replied Arawn, Alis frowned, so they have what is basically a Demi-god who simply wasn't feeling motivated.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo played his oboe. The music was wholly tinged with the same despair that people felt when they failed. A melancholy overcame his music for moments. He had been too weak, and had to be saved by a Demon King. What a strange twist of fate. He wasn't sure if this was divine punishment or just really bad luck. Either way, he felt down about it… it was… oddly depressing for some reason.

Still, he played his music, hoping for his spirits to lift. When they didn't, he paused and sighed. "Why is life so hard?"

[Kaori]

"Because you made it hard for us when you challenged that guy to a fair fight, I have some news for you, stuff like honor and chivalry have no place in battle, when the enemy presents a wide opening, you take it." said Alis, "She's right." said Arawn, "Concepts like chivalry and honor are just the excuse of the weak and incompetent, fighting is all about how you can take advantage of your opponent, by any means necessary." said the Demi-god, "It's not!" said Arthur, "Fighting your opponent one on one honors both combatants!" he said, Alis simply gave a deadpan expression, "if that were the case, many people would die, all for the sake of such ideals, no person with a thinking head would pass up the opportunity to kill his enemy in his sleep." said Alis, Arthur had a disgusted expression on his face when Alis said that.

[Zorolo]

"Only if they truly ARE your enemy. Many people have the misfortune of being dragged into wars. After all, nations create wars, not people. I lived in a nation once that thrived in war… and it forced wars on the people, not the other way around. Keep that in mind," Zorlo stated with a sigh.

[Kaori]

They finally arrived back at HQ, the dark elves set themselves up with the other people surrounding the fort, the JSDF maintain a strict policy of letting people in the base, so the only ones seen going in there are JSDF soldiers, whatever remaining Contractors, and Gael tribe members, who acted as translators, Alis went to the commander to report.

*Capital of the Holy Empire, The Imperial Palace*
The Emperor sat on his throne, before him were the members of the senate, "My Emperor, the army of our Vassal States has been destroyed." said one, "There have also been reports of the Barbarians taking the Gate, as well as reports that our Garrison in Greede is cooperating with them." said another, the Emperor sighed, "Why are you all so worried about some barbarians? No army that has fought us lasted that long." said the Emperor, "But my lord, they have strange magic that spew fire and metal, and they decimated the Unified Kingdom's army in a single night!" said another, "Our army is larger and more powerful than some Vassal state army consisting of farmers! Now enough of this! I want those Barbarians gone and the Gate ours! So make it happen!" said the Emperor in a furious tone, outside the throne room, stood his daughter, Princess Alicia Arctours, the Princess intercepted the senators and asked them about the Barbarians, "They have magic weapons that spew fire and metal." said a Senator, "And they ride flying arks and swords." said another, "I hear they also have horseless carriages." said another Senator, "It was also said that their magic weapons are so strong they managed to kill a Fire Dragon.", "But what worries me the most is that they have the Great Demon King himself with them.", Alicia thanked them and went to confront her father, she presented those facts to her father, her plan was to go there and make contact with the Barbarians, her father gave her permission, but told her she'd have to use her own resources, The Princess then went to gather her Royal Guard.

*A week later*
The Princess arrived at the fort and was surprised to see many sorts of people around it, from regular people, Elves, Dark Elves, and even some Beastmen, she then went to the entrance of the fort and there stood a man in a peculiar green outfit, he had some sort of black long object with him, it must be the magic weapons she heard about, with him was another man, the other man wore leather armor and carried a sword, Alicia then spoke to them, "I come here from the Holy Empire on behalf of my father the Emperor, I wish to see your leader.", naturally, it was in her native tongue, the man in leather armor said something to the man in green, the man in green brought out another black object and spoke to it, and it spoke back, "Such strange things." said Alicia, she and her escort were then taken to meet the Commander.

Alis was playing Volleyball with Kenny Loggin's "Playing with the boys" playing on a radio, her Gael tribe friends, have gotten used to their technology over time and don't panic anymore when announcements are made on the speakers, she was playing 2 on 2 volleyball, with Morgan being her partner, and her opponents being Arthur and Riannon, some soldiers were watching the game, while Itami was the judge.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo sat quietly and tuned his oboe. Music hadn't quite sounded right for a while, and it was starting to bother him. The man set the instrument down and looked at his sword. The strange boxes the visitors brought that played music were definitely interesting and he enjoyed the songs he heard… but it made him feel his music would soon no long have purpose.

[Kaori]

As they continued to play Volleyball, an announcement was made in the speakers for Alis.

*Commander's office*
Alis was sitting there, facing a young blond woman in armor, "Miss Ibara, this is Princess Alicia Arctours of the Holy Empire," started the Commander, "She came here to negotiate a truce with us.", "Your Praetor mentions you are a mercenary, I am surprised you are a woman, it must be common in your world for women to be soldiers." said the Princess, "In my country, they wouldn't allow me to be fight in its name, so I now fight for anybody, as long as I get to." said Alis, "So where do I come in commander?" Alis asked the Commander, "you will be assigned to guard the princess while she goes to Tokyo, she will speak before the parliament, you can bring along your friends if you like." said the Commander.

*Alis's room, where everybody is gathered*
"Alright, guys, we're going to my world." said Alis.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo quirked an eye at her. "I'm going to need a cloak… a very, very covering cloak," he stated as he looked at the woman. "I don't think it'd be very smart to bring me, actually. I'm not sure if I can help in your world… its more likely your magic sticks will turn me into swiss cheese just for walking. Do you want I should await your return?" he asked her, giving her somewhat sad eyes.

[Kaori]

"You can come with us just fine, we have people dressing up as Elves back home." Said Alis, "Now, all of you just put on these clothes." said Alis as she handed them clothes from her world.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo nodded and smiled at the woman. "I see, thank you," he stated as he rested his hand on her shoulder and stepped forwards into a room to change his clothing. He emerged in a white tank-top with a do-rag and some jean shorts hanging half-way down with sewn in boxers. "What in the world is wrong with people in your world, Miss Alis?"

[Kaori]

Alis then gave him some other clothes, A plain green t-shirt and some pants, "Put those on." she said, "If you don't mind, I'd like to keep my clothes." said Arawn, "It's alright, you would just look like somebody in costume anyway." said Alis, Riannon, Arthur, and Morgan tried on some clothes, after they got some proper clothes on, they left for the Gate.

*In front of the Gate*
As they looked at the Gate, they saw what was on the other side, more soldiers and some walls, "Alright, just follow me." said Alis.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo followed Alis closely. He hadn't been willing to part with his sword or oboe. These things were his lifeline… his attachment to who he was. If he left them, he feared he might lose who, and what, he is. That was an unforgivable idea. Still, as he glanced upon the battlements that were being built, a sense of primal fear began to set in. This place… it was terrifying. He wasn't sure how long this war had been going on, but with that size of that wall, it distorted a sense of time. Were these truly the allies and he and his newfound comrades were to aid… but then why the ploy? So much no longer made sense… and all he had was a headache.
